Bruce H. Charette, 62, of Bristol, husband of Katherine (Adam) Charette for 39 years, died Tuesday, Aug. 2 at Hartford Hospital.
Bruce was born in Hartford on April 29, 1954 and was a son of the late Herman and Mildred (Belanger) Charette. He resided in East Hartford, graduating from Cheney Tech, East Hartford before moving to Bristol 30 years ago. Prior to retiring, he was employed at Kip-Norgren of Farmington. Bruce was a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam and a member of St. Ann Church, Bristol and was a bass player for the Bristol Old Tyme Fiddlers.
In addition to his loving wife, Bruce is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Rose Charette of Waterbury; and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Adrien Adam.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann Church, 215 West Street, Bristol, on Monday, Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue, Bristol is in care of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fresenius Kidney Care, 135 Middle St., Bristol, CT 06010.
